Council holding special meeting to discuss Erie Shore Drive

Chatham-Kent Council is set to gather once again for a special information meeting to discuss Erie Shore Drive. Residents are being encouraged to watch the meeting via livestream, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting is scheduled for Friday, March 13 at 5 p.m. at the Chatham-Kent Civic Centre.

“It will consist of an approximate 30-minute presentation in open session that will include a brief project update outlining timelines, changes and challenges faced during the first week of Phase One construction,” Municipal officials said in a media release.

“Council will then adjourn to closed session for legal advice and other discussions as permitted by the Municipal Act. There will be no deputations received at the meeting and no decisions will be made.”

Municipal officials added: “In light of the global concerns regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, residents are urged to watch the meeting through livestream at https://www.facebook.com/yourtvck/ and YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/ rather than physically attend the council meeting.
