Chatham-Kent panel holding COVID-19 media event

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent will be hosting a media event tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18 at 10 a.m. at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre, 565 Richmond Street, Chatham.

This session will be for media only and provide them with an opportunity to ask questions of the panel regarding COVID-19.

Participants and media are asked to use the front entrance to access the building.

Mayor Darrin Canniff says he hopes media will be available to attend as “we want residents to be informed and have the most up to date information possible and media is an essential part of ensuring that goal.”

The panel will include: Dr. David Colby, Medical Officer of Health; Mayor Darren Canniff; Don Shropshire, Chief Administrative Officer; Dr. April Rietdyk, General Manager, Community Human Services; and Lori Marshall, CEO of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

CK Public Health would like the media to know that they will be implementing social distancing practices and providing hand sanitizer at this event.

CK Public Health also asks that anyone who is experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, or who has travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days or has been in contact with persons with COVID-19 infection in the last 14 days does not attend this event.
