Police say once inside, a large duffle bag containing martial arts equipment was taken, which is valued at $400.

The equipment was stolen from the Wallaceburg Martial Arts group, according to their post on social media.

“Stealing in this town at this time is awful,” Claudine Bourdeau, the owner of Wallaceburg Martial Arts, wrote on Facebook.

“Especially from a business that had to close because of the COVID-19. We are part of this community and my team and I love teaching the students. So the person who stole the dark green Spalding bag full of equipment that had blockers, focus mitts, agility ladder, kick pads, posters, the cones, etc. You have stolen from our students, parents, and staff not just me.”

Bourdeau added: “We are under a state of emergency and you have to (steal). Please return our stuff no questions asked.”
