Police: B&E’s in Chatham & Muirkirk, warrants executed

Warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On March 28, 2020 police received information that a 35-year-old Chatham man, who was wanted for a robbery that had occurred earlier in the day, was in the area of Prince Street South.

The man had broken into a home, stolen some medication and pushed the resident to the ground.

The male was located, arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was later released with a future court date.

Warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On March 1, 2020 a 46-year-old Bothwell man attended a business on Keil Drive South in Chatham, purchased some items and paid with a counterfeit $100 bill.

Video was obtained and an image was sent out to the public for identification.

On March 2 a business called to advise that the male party was present.

The man was identified and the investigating officer was notified who confirmed he was the suspect and a warrant was requested for his arrest.

On March 28, 2020 the male was observed on St. Clair St, arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was later released with a future court date.

Break and enter in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Just before 6 a.m. Friday morning, unknown suspects forced their way into Chatham Crossfit on Queen Street, by smashing the front door.

Once inside, the suspects stole a YI White Dome 1080p video surveillance camera and black basket of balls.

Break and enter in Muirkirk

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Friday, March 27, at approximately 11:30 a.m., police attended an address on Spence Line in Muirkirk in relation to a break and enter.

Unknown suspects entered a farm building and stole an air compressor.
