She averaged 6.2 points per game, 4.2 rebounds per game and 1 assist per game. She shot 28.9% from the field, 13.1% from three and 80% from the free throw line.
McCarter was a stand-out student athlete at Wallaceburg District Secondary School during her high school years.
Last year she was named as the Jack Parry Award winner across Chatham-Kent.
“Megan is a dedicated student athlete who has left her mark on WDSS,” Janine Day, the health and physical education curriculum leader at the school, told the Sydenham Current last year.
“She leaves Tartan Athletics with LKSSAA, SWOSSAA championships as well as the first ever OFSAA gold medal for a senior girls basketball team. Megan is involved in all facets of school life and has achieved honors all four years at WDSS.”
