Police: Large knife pulled in Wallaceburg, B&E, arrests

Assault with a weapon

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: In the area of Wallace Street in Wallaceburg, two females were walking when a male suspect on a bicycle tried to get past them.

The females had the right of way and refused to move.

The male then got off of the bike, pulled a large knife out of his backpack and began confronting the females.

Police responded and located and arrested the male suspect.

The knife was also located in the area.

The male party was located and arrested and held for bail.

Break and enters

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Break and enter and mischief to six storage Units at 7191 Lambton Line in Bothwell.

Six units were damaged, four of which were entered.

Damage estimated to be approximately $9,000.

Warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: While on patrol in area of Sandy Street in Chatham, officers located a 48-year-old man, who was subject to multiple CKPS warrants.

He was subsequently arrested, held for bail and released with a future court date.

Arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: In the area of Talbot Trail in Shrewsbury, a man was located breaching his release condition.

He was arrested and released with a future court date.
