Woman charged with impaired driving

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after 7:30 p.m. last night, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Bloomfield Road.

Through investigation, the officer suspected the woman was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

A roadside test was administered and the woman failed.

The woman was arrested and transported to police headquarters for further breath tests.

A 25-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

She was released pending a future court date of August 5, 2020.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police located a man hiding in a residence in Chatham who was wanted for uttering threats and failing to comply with his release conditions.

The 37-year-old Chatham man was arrested and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, an officer on general patrol arrested a woman in Chatham who was wanted in connection with a couple shoplifting incidents and three counts of failing to attend court.

The 35-year-old Chatham woman has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Theft of knives in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, unknown suspects entered an unlocked garage on Oxley Drive and stole:

– 12” throwing axe with KR2 engraved on it

– Throwing knives with round handles and red tape on them

– TV projector box

– Android TV box

– Propane heater

– Bose SoundLink Bluetooth speaker

– 20v DeWalt Impact driver

– Keys and cigarettes

Theft from garage in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Sunday and yesterday, unknown suspects forced their way into a locked garage on St. Clair Street, causing about $200 damage.

Once inside, the suspects stole various tools, an antique cash register and radio.

Total value of the theft has been estimated at $2,000.
