Another free community meal is being held at First Baptist Church in Wallaceburg on Saturday, May 16.
Pastor Brian Horrobin said everyone is invited to enjoy the meal, starting at 5 p.m. from the parking lot of First Baptist Church, located at 99 Thomas Avenue.
“It will be take out style with both a walk up port as well as a drive-through area,” Horrobin told the Sydenham Current.
“Saturday’s menu consists of a hearty bowl of ‘heat-and-serve chili with large roll, catered by Your Hometown Deli, as well as fresh fruit and a dessert.”
Horrobin said the meal will happen rain or shine.
Two more free takeout meals are scheduled to take place in Wallaceburg this month, including:
– Friday, May 22: 5 p.m. at the Trinity United Church.
– Tuesday, May 26: 5 p.m. at Bethel Pentecostal Church.
