It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michael Korpan, in his 58th year, on Sunday May 31st, 2020 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with his wife by his side.
Cherished son of Joseph Korpan of Chatham and the late Anna (Steen) Korpan.
Beloved husband and best friend of Susan (Meko) for over 35 ½ years.
Loving father of Kristen Korpan (Sean Dobbelaar) and Bryce Korpan (Kayla) and proud papa of Boone Dobbelaar.
Dear brother of Joe and his wife Pat Korpan, and Keith and his wife Sue Korpan.
Mike spent most of his life farming in Chatham-Township and was most happy out on the land and with his family.
His favourite thing to do was spend time with family and enjoyed many vacations and family dinners that are forever in our memories.
His favourite family vacations were spent in Disney.
Mike volunteered for numerous agricultural committees as well as local city organizations and was a volunteer firefighter.
One of Mike’s passions was the start of the family winery with Sue, “Early Acres Estate Winery”, and this will be one of the many legacies to his family.
His love for his grand-puppy “Lola” brought his daily enjoyment, and his newest addition of love to his family came last year with the birth of his first grandson “Boone”.
Mike took much pride in making sure his family always came first in his life.
Everything he did was focused on their happiness and making sure everything was okay in their lives.
A private family time will be held at the funeral home.
Interment St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Chatham.
