Chatham-Kent OPP officials allege: Officers with Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Chatham Kent detachment were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on the eastbound lane of Highway 401 at County Road 42 near Tilbury just before 7 a.m. this morning.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old male left the roadway and rolled over into the highway median.
The victim sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to hospital.
The highway fully reopened to traffic just before noon.
