Impaired driver in Corunna
Lambton OPP officials allege: On June 11, 2020 at approximately 8:40 p.m. members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fail to remain collision on Albert Street, Corunna Ontario.
Lambton OPP arrived on scene and the investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle was driving erratically on Blackthorn Crescent, struck a parked pickup truck and was lodged underneath it. The driver was able to reverse and flee the scene. Witnesses of the collision were able to obtain the licence plate of the suspect vehicle.
Lambton OPP members located the vehicle and driver. Upon speaking with the driver, it became apparent they had recently consumed an alcoholic beverage and was displaying signs of impairment. The driver was subsequently arrested and transported to the Lambton OPP detachment where they provided two suitable samples of breath.
A 55 year-old St. Clair Township man has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus and Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs, Dangerous Operation and Failure to Stop After Accident, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice-Sarnia, Ontario on August 10, 2020.
Man charged with mischief
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night, police responded to the report of a disturbance in the area of Queen Street and Park Avenue n Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the man threw a rock at a parked vehicle and the owner confronted him.
Damage to the vehicle has been estimated at $500.
A 36-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000 and failing to comply with his curfew.
He was released pending a future court date of August 26, 2020.
Break and enter in Wallaceburg
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Wednesday at 10 p.m. and Thursday at 11 a.m. unknown suspects forced their way into a residence on Water Street.
Once inside, the suspects stole two generators and a compressor.
Total value of the theft has been estimated at $2,000.

Theft of tools in Howard Township
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime between Saturday and Wednesday, unknown suspects forced their way into a shed on Victoria Road, causing about $30 damage.
Once inside, the suspects stole:
– 20V DeWalt batteries x5
– DeWalt chargers x2
– Honda rotor tiller
– Hitachi charger
– Keys for tractors and John Deer gator
Total value of the theft has been estimated at $1,000.
