The 87th annual Pet & Hobby Parade, organized by the Kinsmen Club in Dresden each year, is going virtual for 2020.
“The Dresden Kinsmen Club Pet and Hobby Parade will not be able to go on as usual this year, but we must keep the long standing tradition of a children’s summer parade alive in the community of Dresden,” organizers said on social media.
“The Dresden Kinsmen Club Pet and Hobby Parade will proceed in a virtual format.”
Organizers say this year’s theme is ‘Hometown Spirit’.
“Get dressed up, decorate a float, your house, yard, bikes, wagon, don’t forget your pets and submit a photo,” Dresden Kinsmen officials say.
Photos are being accepted on the event page on Facebook and they need to be submitted by the end of the day on June 19, 2020.
“Peers will vote and the top 10 posted photos with the most likes will receive a $20 gift certificate to the Sugared Spoon here in Dresden,” organizers say.
“Make sure to take a drive/walk/bike on June 19 to see the wonderful display of community spirit in Dresden.”
