Only one active COVID-19 case remains in Chatham-Kent

CK Public Health has announced there is now only one active case of COVID-19 across the community.

There were no new positive cases announced on Wednesday or Thursday this week and the total number of confirmed cases in Chatham-Kent remains at 158.

The total number of recoveries has risen to 156.

The active case is self-isolating and is related to close contact, CK Public Health officials say.

There is no one hospitalized with COVID-19 and one person has died.

In total, 6,116 COVID-19 tests have been administered to date, while 212 tests are pending.

There have been zero outbreaks at long-term care and retirement homes in Chatham-Kent and one workplace outbreak, which has been declared over.

The CK Public Health Unit updates their ‘current situation’ page Monday to Friday by 2:30 p.m.
