Dreaming Out Loud stays perfect at Dresden Raceway

Dreaming Out Loud kept his perfect record intact on Sunday, July 5 in the second leg of the Mark Austin Pacing Series.

The three-year-old Thinking Out Loud colt overcame a small break just before three quarters and stepped off his last quarter in 29 second flat to win the second division of the Austin series.

Mr Cheeseman and Lorne House set the fractions 28.4, 59.1 and 1:28.2 before Dreaming Out Loud and Tyler Borth kicked into gear and pushed to a one length lead.

Chris Cain and Keith Cullen are the partners while Cullen does the training.

Mr Cheeseman held on for second while River Dali and Andy Moore finished third.

The first division of the Austin Series saw AJKnight go wire-to-wire for Garrett Rooney in 2:00.2, after setting fractions of 28.3, 59 and 1:29.3.

The three-year-old Warrawee Needy colt is owned by Adrian and Janny Dimmers, while co-owner Adrian Dimmers is the conditioner.

Coin Flip and Scott Wray were second while House guided Sparkle Farkle to a third-place finish.

Macharita got the perfect trip to win the third division for Michael Whelan.

The six-year-old Mach Three mare took a two-hole trip behind Up To Spec and Greg Drew before popping out to win down the lane in 1:58.3.

Up To Spec set fractions of 29.3, 59 and 1:29.3. Macharita is owned and trained by Walter Whelan.

Century Fatima and Drew Neill paid on the show ticket.

The final of the Austin Series will go post ward next week for a purse of $16,200.

Intrepid Lady’s second start of the year was a big one for owner Kim Biekx of Leamington.

The five-year-old bay mare set fractions of 29.1, 59.3, 1:28.2 and a final time of 1:57.4 with a back half of 58.1 for driver Marc St Louis.

Intrepid Lady is trained by Jeff Williams.
