Drugs, firearms, ammunition and cash were seized after a pair of search warrants were executed in Chatham-Kent on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.
In the first incident, Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege yesterday, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Unit executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrants on a residence and vehicle in Chatham.
“In total, approximately $7,000 worth of suspected Fentanyl and a quantity of cash was seized,” police officials said in a media release.
A 33-year-old Chatham man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with a release order.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing, police say.
A 29-year-old Chatham man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, failure to comply with a release order and failure to comply with probation.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
A 28-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
She was released from custody pending a future court date, police officials added.
In the second incident, police officials allege last night, members of the Chatham-Kent Police Intelligence Section with the assistance of the Critical Incident Response Team, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a residence in Blenheim.
“The search resulted in the seizure of cocaine, a firearm and ammunition,” police officials said in a media release.
A 29-year-old Blenheim man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and numerous weapons offences, police say.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
