Wilfred Solomon

Wilfred Leroy Solomon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Riverview Gardens with family by his side.

Born May 21, 1929 to the late Daniel and Hazel (Richardson) Solomon of Chatham Township.

Loving husband to Jean (Gross) and father to Betty Solomon of Dresden, Larry (Cheryl) Solomon of Kent Bridge and Nancy Solomon of Mississauga.

Predeceased by daughter Cathy Henry Solomon (2011) and infant son.

Also survived by 7 grandchildren Ryan and Brent Solomon, Cory (Stephanie) Henry, Colin and Chase Henry, Mark (Franchesca) Miller, Morgan (Karl) Miller, the late Scott Solomon (2000); 10 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Heddy Solomon, Linda Travis and Sandra Miller and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sisters Beatrice (Marvin) Scott, Mildred (Kenneth) Brooks, Gertrude (Owen) Simmons, Florine (Owen) Simmons and brothers Alvey James (Katheleen) Solomon, Clifford Solomon and Terrance (Hertha) Freeman.

Dad had a passion for life and was devoted in his faith and love for his family.

He retired from the Ministry of the Environment.

His work was never done, he worked tirelessly.

He loved to golf, fish and watch baseball.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, those hoping to attend the visitation service must schedule a time by registering online here or by calling the funeral home at 519-683-4444.

No one will be permitted at the visitation without a scheduled time.

The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated that everyone attending must wear a mask.

The Solomon family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St, Dresden on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 10:00-12:00 PM.

A private family service will be held with interment in Dresden Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
