Chatham-Kent OPP officials allege: On August 27, 2020 at 2:15 p.m. Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a marine incident at Lakeshore Road in Rondeau Provincial Park, Harwich Township.
A 48-year-old female, who had fallen of an inflatable raft, failed to re-surface.
The female was removed unconscious from the water, by people on the shore who had swam out to assist her.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was started and then continued by emergency responders.
The female was transported by ambulance to hospital in critical condition.
