Suspicious vehicle call leads to impaired driving charges outside Dresden

A suspicious vehicle call led to impaired driving charges being laid outside of Dresden.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege officers were contacted at 2:49 a.m. on Saturday for a vehicle in the middle of the road in the area of Base Line and Dawn Mills Road, just outside of Dresden.

“The vehicle had stopped in a lane to oncoming traffic,” police officials said in a media release.

“Police arrived and found a male passed out in drivers seat of this vehicle. The male was arrested for impaired and transported to Chatham-Kent headquarters.”

The male registered twice the legal limit for alcohol in his system, police allege.

“When sober he was released with a future court date.”
