Robin Bennett of Wallaceburg

Robin Elizabeth Bennett, of Wallaceburg, Ontario, age 59, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, in Chatham, on August 31, 2020 at 9:09 p.m. surrounded by her sister and best friend Marcy Bennett, her brother Joel Bennett, sister-in-law Kim McAuley, niece Rori Bennett and long time family friend Diane Buckingham.

Robin was born in Wallaceburg on February 22, 1961 to Evelyn and Bill Bennett.

She attended Wallaceburg District Secondary School and went on to graduate with honors in Horticulturalism from Conestoga College, in Kitchener, Ontario.

In her younger years, Robin loved being outside working in gardens and designing landscapes and even shovelling snow.

She was an avid athlete who enjoyed playing road hockey and tennis before her health began to fail.

She loved art and inherited her artistic abilities from her Mother, Evelyn.

She excelled at pencil sketches and most enjoyed drawing lighthouses and nature settings.

Robin was a member of St. James Anglican Church in Wallaceburg for her entire life.

Her faith was strong.

She is survived by her four siblings, nieces, nephews and many loving friends.

Predeceased by her parents Evelyn and Bill Bennett and grandparents Stanley and Vera Bennett and Harry and Harriate Barnes.

The late Robin Bennett rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg.

Following her wishes cremation will take place.

A Celebration of Life will take place on September 26, 2020 from St. James Anglican Church, in Wallaceburg at 3 p.m. with visitation for one hour before the service and one hour after the service, all from the church.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, we are asking reservations for visitation and the Service be made by calling the funeral home (519-627-2861). Masks are mandatory.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Chatham-Kent March of Dimes or the Chatham-Kent Hospice may be left at the funeral home.
