The Municipality of Chatham-Kent will commence the re-opening of community municipal centres in Blenheim, Ridgetown, Tilbury and Wallaceburg on Tuesday, September 8 at 8:30 a.m.
The following offices previously reinstated regular business hours and services:
– Civic Centre – July 13
– Chatham ServiceOntario (Grand Avenue) – July 20
– Dresden ServiceOntario and Municipal Centre – August 4
“With the September 11 tax payment due date approaching, we continue to encourage customers to place documents and payments (i.e. tax, water/hydro, permits, fines) in the secure drop-box outside,” Municipal officials said in a media release.
“Customers should expect increased wait times upon re-opening, as well as social distancing/maximum customer capacity signage at each office and extended waiting areas. Customers will not be screened prior to office entry, however are reminded to wear face masks and hand sanitize upon entry.”
Municipal officials say of note, customer access will be limited to the designated customer service areas only.
“We encourage customers to call 519-360-1998 or email ckinfo@chatham-kent.ca to enquire as to available service options such as phone/online payments,” Municipal officials say.
