Lois Lilley of Wallaceburg

It is with heavy hearts and much sorrow that we find ourselves sharing this sad news.

Lois Maxine Lilley, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at Fairfield Park on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the age of 95.

Lois is the daughter of the late George and Mable (McLenon) Want.

Predeceased by her beloved husband George Crawford Lilley in 1999.

Loving mother of Heather McPhee (Russ), Maureen Millar (Don), Maxine VandeVelde, James Lilley (Carolyn), Gord Lilley (Tracey), and their late baby brother George.

Dear grandmother of Stephanie, Allison (Dave), Ryan (Natasha), Aidan, Shannon (Mark), Brooke (Craig), Derek (Nancy), Stephen (Meaghan), Branden (Leah), and Mitchell. Great-Grandmother of Christopher, Lucas, Alex, Maddie, Ava and the late baby Thomas, Niko, Keira, Leah, Nathaniel, Harper, Charlotte, Nash and Jaxon.

Predeceased by sisters Jean Holland (Roy), and Blanche Mardling (Stan).

Lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Muriel Lilley, as well as all of Lois’s extended family and many friends.

Lois was a dedicated stay at home Mom who was always there for her children.

She was a loyal member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 18, Wallaceburg, Lois contributed to the war effort by working in a munitions plant in Windsor in her earlier years.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Friday.

The funeral will be celebrated at the funeral home on Saturday, September 5 at 11 AM with visiting in the hour prior.

Due to Covid-19, reservations are required and may be made by clicking here or by calling the funeral home.

Masks and social distancing are mandatory.
