Frost advisory in effect across Chatham-Kent

Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory across Chatham-Kent.

The advisory was issued at 4:07 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2020.

“Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas,” forecasters say.

“Patchy frost is expected early this morning. Temperatures will rise above freezing this morning after sunrise. There is also the risk of frost again tonight.”

Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees, Environment Canada officials say.

“Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops,” forecasters say.
