Chatham-Kent Council will receive a report from staff next month, outlining the steps necessary to move forward with a Secondary Plan for Wallaceburg’s southside.
A motion by Wallaceburg Councillor Aaron Hall was approved as part of the consent agenda during the electronic meeting held on Monday, September 21, 2020.
With the approval, Council directed administration to prepare a report for the October 19, 2020 Council meeting.
“The Secondary Plan shall identify strategies for the preservation and enhancement of the area that supports community sustainability and reinvestment in the downtown area,” Hall said in his notice of motion, adding that the Municipality has received interest about potential redevelopment opportunities on the southside.
