Man arrested on outstanding warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday morning shortly before 9 a.m., police located a man on Riverview Drive in Chatham that was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The man attempted to flee the area when he noticed police however was caught and arrested.

The 39-year old Chatham man was taken into custody and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters.

Break and enter in Orford Township

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime during the nights of September 25-26, 2020 unknown suspects drove through a corn field on Muirkirk Line causing approximately $1,000 damage.

They then entered a barn located on the property they arrived at and attempted to steal gas from the pumps located inside however were unsuccessful.

There was nothing reported taken at this time.

Arrest leads to drug charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday afternoon, at approximately 12:30 p.m., an off-duty officer observed a man wanted on several warrants inside a local business on Keil Drive in Chatham.

The man was followed to another nearby business where additional officers arrived and placed the man under arrest.

Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of suspected Fentanyl in which he was charged accordingly.

Also during the search, the male was in possession of property that was identified as stolen from the business he had just attended.

The 50-year old man of no fixed address was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested for failing to comply with his probation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday afternoon, just before 2 p.m. officers responded to an address in Wallaceburg for a man breaching his probation conditions.

The man fled the area prior to police arriving, however, was located hiding in a bush nearby.

The 29-year old Port Lambton man was arrested and transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters where he was held pending a bail hearing.

Disturbance in Dresden leads to arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, just before 5 p.m., police were called to an apartment building in Dresden regarding a disturbance.

After investigation, police determined that a man that lived in the building had been threatening people with a golf club and had also smashed a window.

The 33-year old Dresden man was arrested and charged with mischief under $5.000 and two counts of uttering threats.

Break and enter in Ridgetown

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday, police responded to an address on Church Street in Ridgetown in regards to a break and enter.

Through investigation it was revealed that sometime the night before, unknown suspects forced their way into a garage and stole a 2014 Yamaha Enduro motorcycle valued at $4,000.

There are currently no suspects at this time.

Traffic stop leads to arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Saturday evening, shortly after 9 p.m. officers on general patrol initiated a traffic stop on Isabella Street in Bothwell.

Through further investigation, one of the occupants was found to be wanted on a warrant.

The 33-year old Ridgetown man was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters.
