Police respond to a pair of collisions

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Police responded to a collision on Queen Street, in the city of Chatham.

A motorist turned and struck a cyclist.

The cyclist was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for non-life threatening injuries.

The motorist was charged under the Highway Traffic for turning not in safety.

The motorist was issued a provincial offence notice.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Police responded to a single vehicle collision on Pain Court Line.

The vehicle left the roadway rolling into a ditch landing on its roof.

The driver and passenger sustained minor injuries and were transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

There was approximately $10,000 in damages.

Broken window leads to arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On October 7, 2020, a male suspect threw a rock through a window on King Street in Chatham.

The suspect was captured on video surveillance and police were able to identify him.

Yesterday evening, while on general patrol, police located the suspect and placed him under arrest.

The 37-year-old Chatham man was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Headquarters where he was later released with a future court date.
