Patrons of the event were out showing their full support as the market set a new record for attendance of 940 people.

“I’m very happy that I could attend the last market of the season as a vendor and what a market it was,” The Baker’s Affair posted on social media.

I’m pretty sure the market broke its record for attendance and I can say I broke my all time record for sale.”

In addition to promoting and featuring local vendors and their products at the market, this weeks’ market featured a table that offered free coffee to all visitors, as well as the chance to fill out a ballot and win a gift basket donated by A. Child’s Homestead Artisan Products.

The basket winner was Jocelyne Courteaux.

This weeks vendors featured beautiful fall decor, local corn stalks, pumpkins, gourds, apples, dried flowers, fall bulbs, a variety of chemical free garlic, jams, pastries, a variety of fresh and seasonal vegetables and meat packages.

“We’re very impressed with the crowds today, very big crowds,” Joseph Grootenboer, owner of River Bell Market Garden, told the Sydenham Current.

“There were a lot of buyers, especially early in the morning, so it’s been a really good day for us. The weather is beautiful, and we really wanted to hit the last market, because we sell throughout the winter, our fresh greens and vegetables, and so we wanted to get word out about that today too, and that people can use our online box program to fill in until the next markets in the spring.”

The Wallaceburg Farmers Market Facebook page features a review section that boasts nothing but positive reviews about the market, its vendors, their products, and the volunteers that keep the event running smoothly.
