An investigation has been launched after a fatal fire in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege yesterday afternoon, emergency crews responded to a fire at an apartment building on Merritt Avenue in Chatham where the body of a deceased person was found.
“Police continue to work with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office and Coroner’s Office to determine the identity of the deceased and origin and cause of the fire,” police officials allege.
