Savemax Liquidation Centre coming to downtown Wallaceburg

It appears that a new discount store is coming to the heart of downtown Wallaceburg.

A Facebook page made it rounds on social media on Saturday, October 24, 2020 stating that a Savemax Liquidation Center is coming to 708 James Street, the location of the former Liquidation World.

A post on their page says they are “opening soon”.

“SaveMax opens Friday, Saturday, Sunday… two truck loads of products every week,” the business says on their Facebook page.

“Name brand shoes, clothing, furniture, home appliances, stoves, fridge, freezer, mattress, groceries… at super low prices. Every week new products. Shop with confidence… guaranteed lowest prices.”

A real estate sign recently came down from the property and construction crews could be spotted on the roof of the downtown building for the last couple of weeks.

Back in 2017, the then 33-year-old 17,000 square feet commercial retail, warehouse and shopping center building and property was listed on the market for $695,000. Details from our April 27, 2017 story, here.
