Municipality of Chatham-Kent officials say beginning on Monday, October 26, 2020, Public Works crews will be flushing fire hydrants in the communities of Dresden and Chatham Township, east of Kimball Road.
“This flushing program is expected to run until approximately Friday, October 30, 2020,” Municipal officials say.
“Hours of flushing will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.”
Areas where flushing takes place could experience discoloured water for a short period of time, Municipal officials say.
“Please check your tap before starting your washing machine,” Municipal officials say.
“If you detect discoloured water, allowing the tap to run for 5-10 minutes should alleviate the problem.”
