CK Public Health holding webinar November 4

CK Public Health is holding a webinar for the public “to learn about two recent projects and get a deeper understanding of the health of our community.”

The webinar will be held on Wednesday, November 4, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

“Recognizing that health is more than just about healthy behaviours (e.g. healthy eating and physical activity), CK Public Health recently took on two projects,” CK Public Health officials said in a press release.

The goal of the projects was to learn about:

– CK’s perceptions about health and health differences, and

– Whether some people in the community experience chronic disease differently than others.

“As we take action to address COVID-19 in our community, it is critical that we understand how our social attitudes impact our health and what health differences exist between groups as a result of those social attitudes and inequities,” CK Public Health officials say.

“By understanding this, we can create a COVID-19 recovery plan that leaves no one behind.”

This webinar is open to everyone who is interested, officials added.

“Join us via webinar or LIVE on Facebook,” organizers say.

“Visit our event page or follow us @CKPublicHealth to stay connected.”
