Pair charged with failing to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Thursday morning, police responded to a neighbour dispute on Pine Drive in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation, police located a man and woman together in a home on Pine Drive, regardless of both of them being on conditions not to attend the home or associate with each other.

The 20-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions.

He was released pending a future court date of December 4, 2020.

The 26-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with her release conditions.

She was released pending a future court date of December 4, 2020.

Man charged with domestic related offences

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Thursday morning, police attended a residence in Chatham to keep the peace as a woman retrieved property from her home.

Through investigation, police learned that during their relationship, the man assaulted the woman and refused to allow her to leave the home during an argument.

The 51-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with forcible confinement and two counts of assault.

He was released pending a future court date of December 4, 2020.

Woman charged with drug possession

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On September 10, 2019 a woman was released from custody with several conditions.

One of those conditions stated that she was to obey a daily curfew of 11 p.m to 6 a.m.

On Thursday night, just before 11:30 p.m. an officer on general patrol observed the woman riding a bicycle on Baxter Street in Chatham with no light.

The officer initiated a traffic stop and through investigation learned that the woman was currently bound by a curfew.

The woman was arrested and upon being searched incident to arrest, was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

The 31-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with failing to comply with her release conditions and drug possession.

She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man charged with breaching probation order

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 5, 2020 the man entered into a Probation Order with several conditions.

One of those conditions stated that he was not to attend the Town of Wallaceburg.

Around 2:30 a.m. on Friday morning, police responded to the report of a suspicious man in a parking lot on Wallace Street.

Officers located the man and when his identify was confirmed, he was arrested for failing to comply with his Probation Order.

The 35-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with breaching his Probation Order.

He remains in police custody this morning.

Executed warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Thursday morning, police located a man on King Street East in Chatham who was wanted for breaching his Probation Order by disobeying his curfew.

A 37-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released pending a future court date of December 4, 2020.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Thursday afternoon, police located a man who was wanted for being in possession of counterfeit money and using counterfeit money at a local business in Chatham earlier this month.

A 41-year-old Chatham man was arrested and released pending a future court date of December 4, 2020.

Theft of lawn mower

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Sometime early Friday morning, unknown suspects entered a shed on McCreary Line and stole a red Toro MX5000 riding lawn mower.
