Police investigating door-to-door chocolate bar sales in Wallaceburg

The Chatham-Kent Police Service are investigating after they received “multiple inquiries” about women selling chocolate bars in Wallaceburg.

“There has been online speculation about possible nefarious intentions,” Chatham-Kent Police Service officials tweeted on Thursday, November 12, 2020.

“We are aware of the information circulating on social media and are continuing to investigate.”
Police officials added: “At this time, there is no evidence to suggest that the women are involved in criminal activity. We would like to remind everyone to be cautious when opening your doors to a stranger. If you believe an incident is suspicious, please call police immediately.”
