Police: B&E’s, MVC in Wallaceburg, warrants, stolen vehicle recovered

Break and enter

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning police responded to a break and enter to a business on Erieau Road in Erieau.

Sometime overnight an unknown person pried open a barn door on the property and took approximately $2,000 worth of Tobacco products.

The investigation is ongoing and there are currently no suspects.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning police responded to a break and enter to a business on Victoria Avenue in Chatham.

The unknown male was captured on video entering the building and then exiting a short time later.

It is currently unknown if anything was taken and the investigation is ongoing.

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning police responded to a break and enter at residence on Victoria Avenue in Chatham.

Sometime overnight an unknown person entered a shed on the property and took a black bag containing a chainsaw wrench, grease gin and three chainsaw chains.

The investigation is ongoing and there are currently no suspects.

Warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning police received information of a male who was wanted on an outstanding warrant and was at a business on Riverview Drive in Chatham.

Police attended and located the male.

The 48-year-old male was arrested on the outstanding warrant for Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling, Break and Enter, and Sexual Assault.

The male was transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held for bail.

Recovered stolen vehicle

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Last night an officer in the area of Westcourt Bouelvard in Wallaceburg located a reported stolen 2015 Ford pickup truck.

A male was located in the vehicle at that time.

The 32-year-old male was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held for bail.

Bail violation

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Selkirk Street in Wallaceburg.

Through investigation the male involved was found to be on a release order with a curfew condition.

The 27-year-old male was arrested for Failing to Comply with his Release Order, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held for bail.

Warrants

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Early this morning police responded to an unwanted person complaint at a business on Bloomfield Road in Chatham.

Through investigation the unwanted male was found to be wanted on a outstanding DNA warrant.

The 27-year old male was arrested on the strength of the warrant, transported to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for booking and held for bail.
