Police execute search warrant

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On November 25, 2020, the Chatham-Kent Police executed a search warrant at a home in Chatham for electronic devices.

The 24-year-old male was arrested for distribution of intimate images and his cell phones and laptop were seized.

In addition, police seized a baggie containing 26 grams of cocaine.

The man was released with conditions and is required to attend court on January 14, 2020.

Man charged with domestic related offence

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a man following an investigation regarding domestic violence.

On Thursday, November 25, 2020 around 7 p.m., the man and his girlfriend were playing a card game when they became engaged in a verbal argument over the game.

The incident escalated into a physical altercation with the man twisting the victim’s arm, pulling her hair and slapping her on the cheek.

The 39-year-old Ridgetown man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested for failure to comply

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a man for bail violations.

On November 26, 2020 at about 3:30 a.m., an on-duty Police Officer observed a male party walking on Charing Cross Road East.

Police spoke with the male party and learned that he was currently before the courts with a curfew condition, that he clearly was not abiding to.

The 33-year-old male was arrested, released with conditions with a court date of January 13, 2021.
