So I wanted to take a moment and touch base on the importance of grooming during the winter. On a recent mobile Nail clinic I heard someone say we’ll just continue to use the Nail clinic over the next four or five months since it’s cold and I don’t want to get his haircut I just want to explain to people the importance of grooming and why it’s still necessary to upkeep during the winter months. Just because your dog comes for grooming during the cold does not mean he needs to get a haircut per se. It’s about maintenance and keeping your dog’s skin and coat healthy and comfortable, any knots or matting that happened over the winter could potentially risk harming their skin condition and or making them very uncomfortable. I don’t know about you but I couldn’t imagine having my hair all knotted on my head let alone anywhere else! We care for their feet, their ears, their eyes and we also watch out for anything that may show signs of a health concern since we are literally going over your dog’s body inch by inchObviously certain breeds don’t need to be maintained nearly as much however if you are curious or concerned about what kind of winter maintenance you should do for your dog please ask!
