C-K encouraging people to ‘give the gift of art ‘

Municipal officials say local artists have been hard at work, so come and celebrate another year of remarkable art-making in CK.

The Gift of Art will feature hand-made work from some of CK’s most talented artists and artisans, including painting, pottery, wood-turning, and printmaking so don’t miss this opportunity to check off the art lover from your holiday shopping list.

Please note that in order to maximize safety for everyone, this annual event is being held at the Chatham Cultural Centre this year rather than ARTspace, Municipal officials say.

The exhibition begins Wednesday, December 9, and carries through to January 9, 2021.

Viewing will take place Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Municipal officials say people can enter through the Murray Street entrance to sign-in with their contact information.

Masks and social distancing are required.

If people prefer to shop from the comfort of their home, they can do so on Facebook @ARTspaceCK, and staff will make sales arrangements.

A 30% commission on every sale will go directly into future community arts initiatives organized through ARTspace and the Thames Art Gallery, Municipal officials say.
