The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has launched an online survey aimed at discovering the most effective ways to engage with the community and get public feedback on issues that effect residents.
The survey is located at Let’s Talk Chatham-Kent and includes 19 questions.
Respondents provide information about their age, what ward they live in and whether they represent an organization or are responding as an individual, Municipal officials say.
The survey addresses the overall issue of community engagement as well as communication in a variety of areas including land use planning, transit, environment and recreation.
Respondents are asked to rank the effectiveness of engagement methods including livestreaming events, online or in-person meetings (post COVID-19) polls, telephone surveys social media and others, Municipal officials say.
“We are committed to building a better, stronger community,” said Chatham-Kent CAO Don Shropshire, in a press release.
“We need our resident’s voice to be heard and this survey will help shape how we can collect and ensure your priorities will be considered.”
The survey runs through January 8, 2021.
Results will be provided to council and made public, Municipal officials added.
