Police: RIDE Program, traffic stop leads to arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 20, 2020 members of the Chatham-Kent Police conducted RIDE programs across the Municipality.

Police conducted 473 stops and administered four roadside sobriety checks.

No persons were found to be intoxicated.

The Chatham-Kent Police intend to continue R.I.D.E. initiatives throughout the holiday season.

Traffic stop leads to arrest

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 20, 2020 in the early afternoon a 37-year-old Chatham man was the subject of a motor vehicle traffic stop.

He was found to be operating his vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and his license plates were found to not be authorized for his vehicle.

The man was arrested and released with a pending court date.

The license plates were seized and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
