Mr. William “Bill” Low, a resident of Port Lambton, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Parkwood Institute, in London, Ontario, at the age of 82 years.
Bill was born in Wallaceburg and was a son of the late Andrew and Nancy (Murray) Low.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Hellewell-Low and predeceased by his first wife Linda (Simpson).
Loving father of Scott (Lucy) Low and Randy (Barb) Low and grandfather of Jessie.
Sadly missed by extended family Shelly Kennedy, Wayne (Michelle) Hellewell, the late Peter Hellewell and all of their families.
Kind brother of Stuart Low.
He is will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his sister Margaret and his brothers Andy and Robert.
He grew up in Wallaceburg and entered the Navy at the age of 17.
He served his country for 25 years.
He earned the rank of Master Warrant Officer with HMCS.
He followed that with 20 years with Union Gas and 10 years with Linden Security.
He loved to golf especially at the Baldoon Golf Course.
He loved to keep busy and singing with the Kent Chordsmen and the Bluewater Chordsmen.
He Loved his family and home on the Water.
The late Bill Low rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Following his wishes cremation has taken place.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Parkwood Institute Veterans Care or the Royal Canadian Legion may be left at the funeral home.
