5th COVID-19 death in Chatham-Kent

A fifth person has died from COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent.

The death was confirmed on the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit’s ‘current situation’ page on Monday, January 18, 2021.

CK Public Health officials say the deceased was a woman in her 80s, who died on January 16, 2021.

The fourth death was a 91-year-old Chatham man, who was living at home prior to getting ill, CK Public Health officials said last week.

He died on Thursday morning, January 14, 2021, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus.

The first COVID-19 death in Chatham-Kent, a woman in her 80’s, was back in April, while the second, a woman in her 50’s, was at the beginning of August. The third death, a woman in her 80’s, died on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
