Meth and heroin seized after suspicious vehicle complaint in Sheddon

Elgin OPP officials allege: On Sunday January 24, 2021 at approximately 9:41 a.m. Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in Sheddon, Ontario.

The report indicated that a person appeared to be sleeping in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle.

Police attended the scene and as a result of the investigation have charged a 23-year-old Walpole Island First Nation woman with:

– Possession of Property obtained by Crime under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code. (two counts)

– Possession of a schedule 1 substance (Methamphetamine) contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Section

– Possession of a schedule 1 substance (Heroin) contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Section

The woman was released by way of a Form 10 (Appearance Notice) with a future court date of February 23, 2021.
