New Vision set to re-open on Thursday after a COVID-19 outbreak

A downtown Wallaceburg business is set to re-open this week after a COVID-19 outbreak forced them to close their doors.

Moira Eggett, who co-owns New Vision with her husband Brad, told the Sydenham Current their office is re-opening on Thursday, January 28, by appointment only.

Dana Haggith caught up with Eggett for an interview. Listen, below:

Eggett said customers can make an appointment by calling 519-627-9380 or emailing newvision@bell.net.

Jeff Moco, a spokesperson for CK Public Health, told the Sydenham Current on Tuesday afternoon that while the workplace outbreak has yet to be officially declared over at the 455 James Street location, he’s been told this could happen “potentially tomorrow.”

The workplace outbreak was first announced on Monday, January 18, 2021.

“The workplace disclosed for themselves that they had some positive cases and have voluntarily closed,” Moco told the Sydenham Current last week, adding that CK Public Health worked with them to contact and isolate any patron that visited their establishment.

Eggett first shared the news about the positive COVID-19 cases in a social media post on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Our original story can be read, here.
