Local writers wanted for virtual author festival

The Chatham-Kent Public Library is seeking local writers for their virtual author festival.

The ‘Read Local: CK Author Festival’ is being presented on the libraries social media platforms starting on Saturday, April 10.

“The ‘Read Local: CK Author Festival’ will be a virtual event featuring local authors presenting their publications,” librariy officials said in a media release.

“The Festival will be an opportunity for authors to share their work and experience with aspiring writers and viewers and to promote their work.”

Anyone from Chatham-Kent who has written and published a book, in print form or as an ebook, is welcome to apply.

All authors are asked to submit an application to be considered for this event.

Authors who have participated in past ‘Read Local: CK Author Festival’ events are welcome to apply; however, preference will be given to authors who have not participated before.

Applications are due by Monday, March 15.
