Crash in St. Clair Township leads to impaired driving charges

Lambton OPP officials allege: On February 10, 2021 at 12 a.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a single motor vehicle collision on St. Clair Parkway, St. Clair Township.

Members of Lambton County OPP attended the scene and observed the downed hydro pole.

The driver was located and it became apparent the driver had consumed an alcoholic beverage and was displaying signs of impairment.

The driver was arrested and transported to the Lambton OPP detachment where they provided two samples of breath above the legal limit.

As a result, a 21-year-old Port Lambton woman has been charged with:

– Operation While Impaired- Alcohol and Blood

– Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
