A look back at the first day of COVID-19 vaccine delivery in Chatham-Kent (Video)

The Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit has released a video, which documents some of the moments on the first day the COVID-19 vaccine was administered in the community.

“As we continue to rollout the COVID-19 vaccination distribution plan with the #CKVaccinationTeam we invite you to take a look back on our first day and all those involved,” CK Public Health officials tweeted on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

“Our team is extremely proud to be partners with (CK Public Health) and (the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance) in being able to roll out the COVID-19 vaccine to our high risk/vulnerable populations and the overall community,” Chatham-Kent EMS officials tweeted on Tuesday.

“We are excited for future expansion and distribution.”

The first shipment of COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Chatham-Kent on Monday morning, January 25, 2021. As of Wednesday, February 17, 2021, a total of 850 doses of the vaccine has been administered.
