COVID-19 vaccination phone lines reopening

The COVID-19 vaccination phone lines in Chatham-Kent are reopening on Monday, March 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for people who are 80 years of age and older who live in Chatham-Kent, public health officials said on Sunday.

To ensure that everyone is able to book an appointment, CK Public Health is asking Chatham-Kent’s 80-plus community members to call in accordance with the following schedule:

– If your last name begins with A through M, call Monday, Wednesday, or Friday.

– If your last name begins with N through Z, call Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday.

“Please call 519-351-1010 and leave a voicemail with our answering service,” CK Public Health officials said on social media.

“You do not need to call back again – we will return your call.”

CK Public Health officials added if people called before 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 27 when the phone line opened, their message was not able to be returned.

“Please call back on your designated day,” public health officials say.

“The COVID-19 vaccination call centre staff continue to work hard to return your calls, and get you and your loved ones booked in to be vaccinated. We appreciate your patience as we continue to get people appointments as quickly as we can.”
