Julienne Holmes of Wallaceburg

Mrs. Julienne (Van Den Bossche) Holmes, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the age of 97.

Julienne was born in Ninove, Belgium and was a daughter of the late Christian and Bertha (Van Londerseele) VanDenBossche.

Beloved wife of the late David Holmes (2006).

Loving mother and mother-in-law of: Dave & Diane Holmes, Lorraine & Chuck Church and Annette Holmes.

Sadly missed by her grandchildren Jason, Vanessa, David (Catherine), Stephanie (Cory) and Kristina and her great grandchildren David, Emilié, Riley and Finley.

Kind sister-in-law of Gerald “Gerry” Hart.

Predeceased by her sisters Alice (the late Andre) Vlaminck and Judith Hart.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

She was a parish member of Our Lady of Help Church and was a member of the C.W.L for over 30 years. She was a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the CBD club in Wallaceburg. Julienne had worked at Sears and then Canadian Tire in Wallaceburg. Family was very precious to her but she always would give to anyone in need and was well known for her baking, loved sewing, needle point and quilting.

Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 3-6 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. from Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Wallaceburg.

Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
