Update: Body found in the Thames River identified as missing man

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On Monday morning, police responded to the report of a human body in the Thames River along Grande River Line in Dover Township.

With the assistance of Chatham-Kent Fire & Emergency Services, the body was recovered from the river.

Yesterday, a post-mortem was conducted in London and the man was identified as 46-year-old Terry Want who was last seen on October 23, 2020 in Chatham.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service continues to work with the Coroner’s Office, however his death is not believed to be suspicious.
