With heartfelt sadness, the family of the late Mrs. Wendy Sorichetti, announce her sudden passing on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the age of 70.
Wendy was born in Niagara on the Lake to the late Joyce Bain (Malcolm), and Arthur Arnold (Dorothy).
Beloved wife and life companion of Wayne Sorichetti.
Loving mother to Matthew, Peter and Liza (Matt Brown).
Sadly missed by her grandchildren Ravenna, Nick, Edie, Nathan, Elise, Mia, Chloe, Weslyn, Graham and great grandchild Jackson.
Cherished sister-in-law of Angela.
Also survived by six brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews and a loving cousin to the Grylls family.
Wendy was a dedicated Primary Teaching Specialist with the Durham Board of Education. She was gifted with many talents such as quilting, knitting, and folk art. She loved music, especially the piano and string instruments. If an instrument wasn’t in arms reach, she would play the spoons if it brought a smile to friends in her company. She had a soft spot in her heart for all living things and enjoyed playing a good game of cards.
In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with Wendy’s passion for the ethical treatment of animals, the family is suggesting a donation in Wendy’s name to the Durham Humane Society.
