Easter weekend hours in C-K and at the CKHA

Municipal offices and most services will be closed Friday, April 2, and Monday April 5, 2021 in recognition of the Easter weekend.

Municipal officials say other services are scheduled as follows:

Cemetery Operations: Cemeteries staff will be available on call for funeral homes who are in need of at-need lot sales or interment orders.

CK Transit: All CK Transit services will not operate Friday April 2.

Emergency Services: Police, Fire and Ambulance are operational 24 hours a day, every day, and are accessible by dialling “911” for emergency calls only. The Fire Administration office will be closed on Friday, April 2 and Monday, April 5, re-opening on Tuesday, April 6 at 8:30 a.m.

Arts and Culture: Chatham Capitol Theatre, Kiwanis Theatre, Chatham Cultural Centre, Chatham-Kent Museum, Thames Art Gallery, ARTspace, The Milner House and the Ridge House Museum will be closed Friday and Monday.

Entegrus and Public Utilities Commission: Entegrus and the Public Utilities Commission will be closed. The emergency call number is 519-352-6300.

The office of Fleet Services (PABC) will be closed on Friday and Monday.

Health and Family Services Building: The Health and Family Services building will be closed on Friday and Monday, including the offices of Employment and Social Services, Housing Services, Child Care and Early Years, and Public Health. The Employment Resource Centres located at 240 King St. W., Chatham and 786 Dufferin Avenue, Wallaceburg remain closed to the public.

Emergency Rapid Rehousing Program: During the evening, on weekends, and on holidays, please call the afterhours Homeless Response Line at 519-354-6628 for homeless emergencies within Chatham-Kent.

Libraries: All branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will be closed Friday and Monday. Branches currently open on Saturdays will be open on that day for curbside service. Administration offices will be closed.

Public Health King Street: Public Health King Street, located at 177 King St. E., Chatham will be closed. Essential after-hours Public Health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207.

Provincial Offences Court: The Provincial Offences Court will be closed Friday and Monday will re-open on Tuesday, April 6 at 8:30 a.m. Please note that during office closures fines can continue to be paid on-line at www.paytickets.ca.

Pools: Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool and Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will be closed Friday, April 2. Both pools will be open regular hours on Monday, April 5.

Arenas: Arenas: All arenas are closed Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Blenheim Arena and Chatham Memorial Arena will be open for scheduled rentals on Easter Monday but all other arenas will be closed.

Riverview Gardens: Reception and administrative offices will be closed Friday and Monday. Nursing staff can be reached 24/7 by calling 519-352-4823.

Waste and Recycling: Collection services will only be affected by Good Friday (April 2). Those residents who would normally receive curbside collection on Friday, April 2 will receive it on Saturday, April 3. There are no collection changes for the week of April 5 (Easter Monday). Refer to the 2021 Recycling and Waste Collection Guide for further details.

Transfer Stations: The Harwich and Wallaceburg Transfer Stations will be closed Friday April 2 but will be open Monday, April 5. All other transfer stations will be open regular hours.

Leaf and Yard Depots: All Leaf and Yard Depots will be closed Friday April 2.

Chatham-Kent Tourism: CK Tourism will be closed Friday and Monday. To access visitor information at any time, please go to visitck.ca.

Some health care services offered at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be altered on Friday, April 2, 2021 in recognition of Good Friday and Monday, April 5, 2021 in recognition of Easter Monday.

Hospital officials say all outpatient diagnostic tests will not be available on Friday, April 2, 2021. On Monday, April 5, 2021, some scheduled outpatient appointments will be performed. These departments will be staffed to meet the needs of inpatients and emergencies throughout both statutory holidays.

Ambulatory Care Services, Out-Patient Rehabilitation Services, Pre-Surgical Screening Services, Diabetes Education Centre, the TIA and CAD Clinics, Pulmonary Function Lab, Outpatient Lab Services, Health Records and Patient Appointment Offices will be closed on Friday, April 2, 2021 and Monday, April 5, 2021.

The Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program Outpatient Department will be closed on Friday, April 2, 2021 and Monday, April 5, 2021. The Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine clinic will be closed on Friday, April 2, 2021 and Monday, April 5, 2021. For any immediate crisis, please call the crisis line at 1-866-299-7447 or visit your nearest Emergency Room.

Elston Pharmacy, located at the Chatham Site, will be closed on Friday, April 2, 2021 and Monday, April 5, 2021.

The Oncology/Chemotherapy Department will be closed on Friday, April 2, 2021 and Monday, April 5, 2021.

The Business Office and Cashier’s Office will be closed on Friday, April 2, 2021 and Monday, April 5, 2021. Please note there are two bill changers in the building to accommodate change for coin.

Hemodialysis Care will be open on Friday, April 2, 2021 and Monday, April 5, 2021.

The COVID-19 Assessment Centre located at the St. Clair College HealthPlex, Chatham Campus, will be open on Friday, April 2, 2021 and Monday, April 5, 2021.

The Emergency Departments at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will remain open 24 hours daily.
